RAW and REBELLIOUS: One more for the reel
This was my final piece of the 2024–2025 season with Raw and Rebellious — a feel-good, light-on-its-feet kind of video that wraps up our collaboration with the same energy we started with: fun, raw, and real.
The idea was simple: let’s make something that feels like a perfect day on the mountain — movement, light, and good vibes. I used the Glide Gear SnookiCam, which gave us that slick, shoulder-mounted third-person angle. It’s one of my favorite ways to shoot — you get that cinematic, follow-cam feel while keeping the subject locked into the frame in a really stylized way.
Funny enough, this video was filmed across two separate days. The first shoot didn’t hit the mark I was aiming for, so I reshot most of it — new lighting, better shots, and just a cleaner overall edit. Sometimes the redo makes all the difference.
Originally, I had a different song in mind, but mid-edit I found “Love Me Like a Sailor” by Gigi Perez trending — and it just felt right. It was gaining momentum with Raw and Rebellious’s core audience, and the tone matched the visual energy perfectly.
Also — I got a bloody nose mid-shoot (classic), which you might catch if you’re looking close. No harm done — just added to the memory.
This one was meant to feel like a snapshot. A moving moment. A wrap-up that says, “that was fun, let’s do it again.” Couldn’t have asked for a better way to close the season!
