GALLEGOS SANITATION: A HEARTFELT GOODBYE

This was one of the first professional videos I ever made — and it couldn’t have been a more meaningful way to start. Gallegos Sanitation, a major local company, had just been acquired by a larger firm. The owners wanted to create something special for their farewell: a legacy video to thank their employees and honor the company’s journey.

The project came together on a tight timeline. I was contacted just a few weeks before the company’s official goodbye ceremony, which meant fast turnaround and tight coordination with two very busy business owners. Scheduling interviews, capturing the right footage, and weaving it all into a cohesive piece required a level of flexibility and professionalism I hadn’t fully stepped into until this moment.

We premiered the final video at the company’s farewell event — a packed room of employees, families, and leadership — and the response was overwhelmingly positive. It wasn’t just a highlight reel; it was a thank-you, a final page in a long story, and a personal message from two people who had built something together from the ground up.

Looking back, this project taught me how impactful storytelling can be when it’s rooted in sincerity. It shaped how I approach all client work now: with care, clarity, and a deep respect for the people behind the business
