CARALINE SKIN CARE: Health over Hype

This piece was part of a broader video campaign for Caroline Skincare, a startup with a refreshingly grounded approach to skincare. The brand’s core message was clear from the start: it’s not about looking younger — it’s about having healthier skin. The founder wanted to challenge the pressure older women often feel to appear ageless, and instead promote skincare as self-care, not self-correction.

This particular video was one of the first in a planned series of testimonials and short-form promotional content. I worked closely on both the shooting and editing, shaping it into something calm, honest, and thoughtful — a departure from the high-energy, effects-heavy content I usually create. It gave me a chance to lean more into tone and pacing, letting the subject’s personality and words carry the narrative.

Unfortunately, the full campaign never saw completion due to some client hiccups in production and payment. But I’m still proud of this piece — it reflects my ability to adapt creatively and communicate a product’s purpose to a very different kind of audience. Working outside the adrenaline-focused space I’m often in helped me grow as both a storyteller and a marketer
